Beyond registering for programming with an organization, some orgs also offer memberships to individuals and families. To begin, add yourself and any other family members as individuals on your PlayFinder Profile.
To sign up for a membership, ensure the community drop-down in the top right corner is set to the county the organization is in, or is set to "Nova Scotia" if the organization is provincial in nature.
Ensure the waivers are accepted on your profile and click the "Register" button beside your name. (The text of these waivers can be reviewed here for participation and here for media).
The "Register" button will reveal a list of organizations in that community with open registrations opportunities, use the checkbox to select the organization you are interested in.
This will reveal a list of memberships available from that organization, use the checkbox to select the membership that suits you and submit.
After submitting your chosen membership option, a page may come up with additional waivers and/or questions. For example, an organization may ask if you support their vision, or perhaps they have extra waivers that are specific to their organization. Some questions require an "accept" response in order to continue with the registration. Complete these questions/waivers and submit or the membership request will not be complete and the registration will be deleted.
A finalize submission screen will allow you to select any options you DO NOT want to submit. This is a chance to remove registration requests at the end of the process. Once satisfied, submit your request "Finalize Submission".
You may receive an instant and automatic confirmation, or the status may be in a "pending" state, depending on how the organization is managing their membership submissions. This information is available on your profile under "fees" and "registrations".
Once confirmed for membership, you will receive payment prompts if fees are associated. Payment methods are unique by organization so be sure to follow the instructions provided.
Online payment is typically the suggested method, though some organization provide options such as E-transfer, Cheque by Mail, etc.
To pay online for your membership, click the "PayToday" button in your "Fees" chart on your profile. When you click the “PayToday” button, a page will appear where you select the program/membership you wish to pay for and click “Pay Selected Fees” button.. Then complete the credit card information and submit payment:
Clicking "Fee Details" button on your Fees tab will open more details information about your family's transaction history with this organization. Self serve receipts will be available here soon.
