Overview
The Technical Department within Pitlochry High School comprises of a fully equiped multi-purpose workshop and also a Graphics Classroom fitted out with a suite of 10 Windows 10 desktop PC's running Serif suite X7 and Autodesk Inventor 2020, and a Denford Universal Laser Cutter.
At present the department offers courses/units in the following subjects/topics:
S1 (2x40 min petriods) - Workshop Safety, Craft (Wood), Graphics, John Muir Outdoor Education. Click here for further information on our John Muir Award Scheme.
S2 - (2x40 min periods) - Craft (Metal), Graphics, Rapid Response Engineering Challenge (RREC) IDL (Interdisciplinary Learning Unit).
S3 ( 3x 40 min periods)- BGE Practical Woodwork, BGE Graphic Communication.
S4 (5x 40min periods) - National 2 & 3 Practical Craft Skills,National 4 & 5 Practical Woodworking and National 4 & 5 Graphic Communication.
