We are kicking off the holiday season with thanksgiving! Let me share with you some fun facts you may have never heard about thanksgiving!

1. The first thanksgiving was recorded in a letter.

2. Americans eat more than 46 million turkeys each year on thanksgiving. This is like the population of Argentina. We eat an entire country's population with turkey. 

3. Thanksgiving wasn't always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of each month.

4. President Colidge was given a raccoon to eat on thanksgiving.

5. Minnesota raise the most turkey 

6. Three towns in the USA are named turkey Texas,Louisiana and North Carolina are the states with just little over 500 people.

7. Thanksgiving is America second favorite holiday

8. Most americans dislike Traditional thanksgiving dishes but eat them anyways.

9. There are 260 tons of turkey left after the holiday. 

10. Jingle bells the christmas classic was once a thanksgiving song
