Coach Powell is a graduate of Taconic High School and has been a wrestling coach at the youth and high school level for years. A background in coaching youth baseball and wrestling, he took over as the Head Taconic Wrestling Coach in 2022 and is looking to build on the team and individual progress from last year. 

His passion for coaching comes from the feeling of having athletes come back years later, realize and thank him for the difference he and the program made in their lives. This year he hopes to see the progress of his athletes on the mat and the goals they can accomplish!
