The introductory period of employment is six (6) months in length (9 months for the Dispatch department) and provides the opportunity to demonstrate abilities to achieve a satisfactory level of performance and to determine whether the position meets expectations. The County uses this period to evaluate capabilities, work habits and overall performance, for more information read Policy 3.20.
