You are tired, stressed, and frustrated. You're not afraid of hard work, but this is different. Nearly half of all teachers report that a high level of daily stress is a problem, feeding a burnout crisis that requires immediate action. The good news is that we don't have to wait for anyone else to take action—curing burnout starts within, by normalizing teacher self-care.

This information has been compiled to help students develop and practice healthy living habits. It focuses on key areas including nutrition, exercise, sleep, recreational activities, social relationships and more.

It's easy to go through an entire day, week or even year, taking care of others without taking moment for yourself. Self care isn't something to feel guilty about. You're not being lazy or weak.

We are currently living in unprecedented and difficult times. Prevention specialists, in addition to experiencing the current global pandemic, also listen to painful and distressing experiences which can lead to compassion fatigue and burnout. This presentation will help us to learn more about possible signs of burnout, how to implement self-care practices to your daily life, and receive available resources to combat the effects of work-related stress.

Students or staff sit in a circle, center themselves with a Mindfulness Moment, and reflect on and share ways they can practice self-care.
