Big Project: This is our big project for valentines day. We are cadding a soap block that will be made into a mold. We are using Fusion 360 or TinkerCAD for this project. I chose Fusion 360 and I am making a circular soap block that has a piece of bacon and an egg on it with text stating, " Don't go BACON my heart". I am using extrude feature and text for this project.

This is the mold that I will pour the soap into, but before I can do that I have to patch up the holes inside the mold to ensure no soap spills out
Final:
this is the final design however I am remolding a new soap because my text fell off
Now that I have my printed verion I can make a mold. We use the silicone plastique and first cover all of the small intricate areas . Then a second layer of the silicone is applied to cover the whole design and then it is left 1-1.5 hours to dry. Once no marks can be made on it and it bounces back it is ready to be peeled off.
This is how my design looks encased in the silicone plastique. It is upside down to ensure the plastique gets into all of the little crevices
this is my soap inside the mold. I have to leave it to dry. It is lemon scented and has swirled red marble pattern.
SOUL reflection:
-S -what worked for me was designing and pouring the soap and coloring the soap.
-O -what didn't work for me was the mold making, my mold was not done thick enough the first time so I had to go back and add more silicone plastique
-U -I learned how to make a mold with silicone plastique.
-L -what prevented me from having a successful project was that I was a bit too chatty and should have focused more while making my mold.
WISCR - I was an insightful and respectful community member. I made decisions quick when I needed to because I changed my design to something more complex and I needed a new idea quick. Also I was a respectful community member because I helped all of my friends when they couldnt figure out how to change something in their print of Fusion.
