CS8 Resume

Brief project overview: In this project we made a resume all by ourselves using HTML, CSS and Java Script. The resume involved many facts and infromation about us. This resume had links that led the person who pressed on them to our other pages like our portfolio page which is this page, hobbies and to the pinewood website. These various pages involved a lot of information about ourselves.

Step 1: first we did the HTML. This is the basic coding of our website. This just form the all of the words and adds the photos. For HTML we did it in sublime text. The HTML is also where you connect all of the files to eachother.

Step 2: for step two we did the CSS portion of this project. This is for all of the fonts and colors. This was one of the most fun steps of the project because we truly got to customize it for ourselves. In the CSS I changed my font to times new roman and colored everything green or light green. I also designed the table and border around my portrait.

Step 3: for step 3 we did the Java Script. For me this was the hardest part and I struggled a bit. Java Script is for making the message pop up when you fill out the form at the bottom of the resume and it send you the little message to let you know the message had been sent to me, what the message is, and who it is sent to me.

This is the Java Script portion. I designed code to make a contact form where they enter their name, email and a message if they want one. A message is then sent to the creater of the doc and it will tell you exactly what you sent to the creator.

SOUL reflection:

-S -what worked for me was finding colors and designing the CSS sheet.

-O -what didn't work for me was the pictures and linking the sheets together. I would be confused and accidentally link in the wrong section sometimes.

-U -I learned how to make a contact form and use CSS and Java Script.

-L -what prevented me from having a successful project was getting distracted occasionally and also being confused with the code because some of this was new to me. Also I missed a few classes which set me back.
