This project is similar to RedBull's Flugtag. However, you will not be flying these design, you will be racing them.
Each group will be given a drifting Trike. You must come up with a theme for the Trike.
Your final drawing must incorporate a side, rear, and front design.
Create a google slide and identify the following engineering design process steps:
Slide 1: Title Page
Slide 2: Define the problem/understand the task
Slide 3: Identify Constraints
Only allowed 3 sheets of cardboard (40*80 inches)
12 feet of gum tape
Drawing paper
Any materials you bring from home
You must include your theme
Zip ties
Slide 4: Research/Design/team theme
All participants must dress in the same team theme costume.
Begin building your design out of cardboard
Slide 5: Iterate/test your design - Make sure you can pedal without knocking into your design
Slide 6: Duct tape/ paint over your functional prototypes
Slide 7: Images of your final design with your team wearing team costumes - Side, Back, Front
During this time, you will also create protective gear (elbow pads, knee pads... etc)
On graduation day, Race your Trike in the PINE BUSH Trike-A-Thon!!
Press on the button to the left, include the sheet on your website. This is part of your research of your EDP.

Project Design Manager: Your group's project design manager is in charge of reaching out to your sponsor to discuss your team's design. Your sponsor may be able to supply your team with a logo, phone number, or even pitch ideas of their own. A project design manager may develop design strategies, delegate tasks, have an eye for fine details, and mentor team members. Project manager will make sure all team members are dressed in a specific team theme costume.
Engineers: Engineers work together to solve technical problems. One of your biggest challenges is figuring out how the designed body will stay on the trike during the race.
2 Drivers: Your team will need to figure out who will be operating the trike. For this relay race, there will be two drivers per team. Each driver will need to wear protective gear during the race.
Only one driver on a trike at any given time
Driver must wear protective gear while operating trike: Elbow pads, knee pads, and an open or closed face helmet.
Youngest driver will start the race.
Oldest driver will finish the race.
First driver will go around the bus lanes once, dismount, and give the trike to the second driver
Second driver will mount the trike, go around the track once, until they reach the finish line.
The first 2 drivers in the same group to complete their pass on the track and cross the finish line will be our winners.
