Mrs. Stephanie Martin Rickman was born in Pickens County. She enjoyed a happy school experience as well as growing up here in Pickens County and making lifelong friends.
Mrs. Rickman attended Jasper Elementary School and then Pickens High School where she graduated in 1990. At this time, no middle schools were in Pickens County. Students went straight from elementary school, seventh grade into high school as sub freshman, also known as eighth graders.
Mrs. Rickman attended Reinhardt University and earned an Associates Degree in Pre-Education in 1992. Once she had obtained her Bachelor's Degree at North Georgia College and State University in 1994, she began teaching third grade at Jasper Elementary School. After three years of teaching, Mrs. Rickman returned to school and obtained a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 1998.
Mrs. Rickman has since added her gifted in field certification to her certificate as well as completing the requirements for the University of West Georgia Media Specialist program.
Mrs. Rickman has taught in the Pickens County School system for 24 years and has teaching experience in all grade levels Kindergarten through fifth grades.
Mrs. Rickman enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, family and her pets. Mr. and Mrs. Rickman reside in Tate, Georgia.
Mrs. Rickman is happy to be your child’s teacher and looks forward to a year full of learning and fun!
