Jasper Middle School Fifth Grade Math News

• Don’t forget about IXL skills and the daily Weekly Review!
• We are starting our next unit on geometry. Please study these vocabulary terms as we go through the unit and it will not be so much for the geometry vocabulary test.
• Continue to work on Usatestprep to bring up lower post test scores.

** Look for study guide sent home for all fifth grade standards as a study tool for upcoming Georgia Milestones Testing.

We will continue to practice and work on all the previous standards. The students may work on earning their green dots and stars to master those standards. If you would like to practice at home the passwords are below:

We are working on a personalized learning program with our math students school-wide. We do have homework in math on Monday through Thursday. We will move our homework quiz from the week's homework until the following Monday of each week. The students were having a lot of Friday testing, so this will be an easy thing to move to Monday. There's really no studying for this, but it gives the weekend to make sure all homework was completed for the week.

Transportation Changes: If you need to make transportation changes, please send a note with your child to school. Make sure that your child’s note has their first and last name, their homeroom teacher’s name, and the date.

If you need to make a change in transportation and are not able to send a note with your child, you MUST CALL the office by 1:00 p.m.

Weather Changes: Fall is in the air and maybe a bit of winter at times! Please make sure to label jackets – many jackets look the same and get misplaced. Also, weather changes rapidly and so does room temps.
