Math News: We are working with a unit on fractions. We are learning to make equivalent fractions, practicing simplifying fractions, teaching benchmark fractions, learning about least common multiples and starting to add and subtract unlike denominators. We are also learning about mixed numbers and adding and subtracting with mixed numbers.
We will continue to practice and work on all the previous standards. The students may work on earning their green dots and stars to master those standards. If you would like to practice at home the passwords are below:
Here are a few helpful websites they can practice at home to bring up scores.

We are working on a personalized learning program with our math students school-wide. We do have homework in math on Monday through Thursday. We will move our homework quiz from the week's homework until the following Monday of each week. The students were having a lot of Friday testing, so this will be an easy thing to move to Monday. There's really no studying for this, but it gives the weekend to make sure all homework was completed for the week. Please let me know if I can help in any way or if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much, Mrs. Carol Smith
Math Homework: The students will have math homework on Monday through Thursday. We review this homework each day in class and go over any problems that are causing them to struggle. On the following Monday, we will have a homework quiz which will consist of 10 problems from the week's homework. The students may use their homework paper from the week to complete this quiz.
