Tip #1 - Time management.
Make sure you have a plan! Figure out times during your schedule that you don't have anything to do, and use that time for extra studying, homework, and/or other school work. Never put it off until the last day, or minute before class starts.
Tip #2 - Get a Good Night's Sleep.
Before the next day starts and you have school, make sure to get enough sleep, as your teachers will be expecting you to raise your hand and answer questions and get the classwork done in time before the period is over. If you don't...well expect to feel tired the next day. At least 8 hours of sleep and/or relaxation is good for you and your body.
Tip #3 - Have some time to yourself.
If you want to be more productive, take some short breaks! Its hard to focus for hours at a time. Drink some water, stretch, dance, listen to music! The possibilities are endless (as long as they aren't too long) for you to get some free time before the day ends.
Tip #4 - Have a healthy snack that you like.
It has been scientifically proven that if you have a snack that you like you will be more productive. Also, if you are one of those people who love to eat this is especially good for you.
Tip #5 - Remember to breathe.
Days sometimes go by quickly and some go by slowly. But, you have to remember to let yourself breathe. Sometimes you might hold your breath without knowing, so whenever you feel like this is happening, breathe. A good five deep breaths is enough to calm you down.
Tip #6 - Confide in someone
Sometimes, it's just too much to handle for one person, and so you might find yourself talking to a friend, by any method that you can use, such as email or calling them. Instead of just doing something on your own, asking someone else who you trust isn't a bad idea, and they can help coach you through the homework that you are having trouble with. Although, make sure they won't give you their answers, and actually help you with what you're doing by giving a clear explanation on how to approach it.
Tip #7 - Don't Play on Your Phone before for bed
A lot of people like to play their electronics before bed, which this can make you stay awake longer and hinder your nights rest. A 30 minute difference is good. Exposure to blue light suppresses the production of melatonin making it harder to fall asleep.
Tip #8 - Stay Organized
If you have a art project to do or you need different supplies for your homework you will appreciate being organized. Even if your homework itself isn't stressful the act of finding supplies in a mess can be. Or perhaps your teacher gave you a sheet for homework, but then it got lost somewhere in your folder or got left somewhere at home? Before going to bed, always double check your stuff, and take great care to look for anything you might be missing for the next school day, just in case.
Tip #9 - Make sure you are not over scheduled
If you're on a sports team, taking instrument lessons, or in clubs, your schedule is most definitely packed. Try to make sure that your schedule has room for the unexpected because whatever it is, it will happen.
Tip #10 - In the face of projects or homework, stay calm
Having a clear mind, even when you are stressed, can help you with your homework as when you panic, it doesn't help anyone since you are nervous, affecting your ability to work as well as how fast you are going. Staying calm will help you to process the question and how to answer it in a particular way.
