Sleep is important. You can't properly function during the day without it, and teenagers and children need 7 to 9 hours of sleep.
Sleep Tip #1 - The "4-7-6" method
This is a popular method used by insomniacs. Apparently, it can make you fall asleep in around a minute. It is said that it increases the amount of oxygen in your blood stream.
Sleep Tip #2 - Blow bubbles
There are 2 benefits: Bubbles are slightly hypnotic to look at and require a process of deep breathing to blow. Since it's a fun and/or silly thing to do, it takes your mind off sleep.
Sleep Tip #3 - Say "Blank, Black" in your head over and over again
Although, it sounds silly, it's a much better alternative to counting sheep.
Sleep Tip #4 - Don't sleep on your back.
Those who slept on their back are more at risk to sleep disorders and lower back pain. Instead, sleep on your side.
Sleep Tip #5 - Try The Sleep Paradox
Here's how it's done: Keep telling yourself to stay awake without doing any stimulating things (like drinking coffee or drinking energy drinks). It's reverse psychology!
Sleep Tip #6 Take part in activity
According to scientific studies, exercising or taking part in activities helps you sleep, and reduces your stress, as it tires you out, which will increase the amount of sleep that you will get, and can reset your internal clock due to it causing your body temperature to change. Despite these positive changes, be sure to not let this interfere with your schedule, or do this late at night, and to do this sometime in the morning or at some point in the afternoon.
