This comprehensive Adobe Digital Media course is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the world of digital media production. The course will focus on three core Adobe applications: Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Adobe Audition: In the Adobe Audition segment of the course, students will learn the art of audio production and manipulation. Topics covered will include audio editing, sound design, mixing, and mastering. Students will gain hands-on experience in recording, editing, and enhancing audio for a wide range of digital media projects. Adobe Premiere Pro: Adobe Premiere Pro is a leading video editing software used by professionals in the film and video production industry. In this part of the course, students will delve into the world of video editing, from importing and organizing footage to creating polished video content. They will learn to edit, add transitions, effects, and audio, as well as export their final projects in various formats. Adobe After Effects: Adobe After Effects is a powerful tool for creating motion graphics, visual effects, and animations. In the After Effects section, students will explore the fundamentals of motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects creation. They will learn to design and animate graphics, add special effects to video, and seamlessly integrate elements into their projects.

Introduction to Photoshop is a beginner-level class that provides an overview of Adobe Photoshop, a powerful and widely-used graphic design and photo editing software. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of using Photoshop to manipulate images, create digital artwork, and enhance photographs. Topics covered in the class include: Interface and Tools, Basic Image Editing, Layers, Selections, Retouching and Repair, Text and Typography, Filters and Effects, Working with Masks, Basic Photo Manipulation, File Formats and Exporting, Creative Projects. The class is designed for individuals who are new to Photoshop and want to acquire fundamental skills in image editing and graphic design. Upon completion of the course, students should have a good foundation to continue exploring and using Photoshop for a wide range of creative projects. The Advanced Photoshop class is designed to build upon existing skills covered in our Intro to Photoshop. Topics covered will include advanced photo retouching techniques, digital painting, 3D modeling and texturing, compositing, animation and more. Students will also learn about advanced tools, filters, and automation methods to enhance their editing capabilities. Additionally, this course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and skills for effectively using a computer's file management system. Exploring and implementing skills which are crucial for everyday tasks and computer literacy using File Explorer to properly navigate the file system hierarchy, understanding drives, folders, and files, and learning how to navigate through them.
AP Computer Science Principles

Prereq: English I and Algebra I; Students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in the first semester in order to continue to the second semester or teacher approval.
AP Computer Science Principles is an introductory college-level computing course that introduces students to the breadth of the field of computer science. Students learn to design and evaluate solutions and to apply computer science to solve problems through the development of algorithms and programs. They incorporate abstraction into programs and use data to discover new knowledge. Students also explain how computing innovations and computing systems—including the internet—work, explore their potential impacts, and contribute to a computing culture that is collaborative and ethical. Students completing the course have the opportunity to take the AP (course) exam and submit the AP project, administered by the CollegeBoard in the spring, which could qualify them to receive college credit for the course. The exam is not mandatory but is highly recommended. All grades in AP courses are weighted in the 5.0 point weighted system. College equivalent work is expected from all students. AP Courses cannot be dropped or leveled down after 1st semester without teacher recommendation.

By the end of this course, students will be able to create their own static websites, understand the importance of responsive design, and have a strong grasp of web development principles to build a solid foundation for further studies in web development or related fields. Practical exercises, projects, and hands-on coding will be integral to the learning experience.
