Surrealistic Scene 

You will be creating a photomerge collage using multiple images and text to convey a message or tell a story of some kind to your audience. You will need to choose a theme and brainstorm the message you want to project. Use the Internet (Google Images) to find images to work with. Make sure you are only choosing Large, High Quality images to work with. You must use a minimum of 15 images. But, keep in mind; ALL images need to be modified in multiple ways. You must create a background using a fill layer and whatever you may want to add.

​Use the skills and techniques we have been learning in the classwork assignments during class. It is up to you what canvas size you will need. Remember to not only edit your photographs but to create a visually pleasing layout and design. When you have completed your photo merge, you will need to write a reflection on what you have create, what techniques you used, etc. The space for your reflection is on the bottom of the checklist form. This should be thorough and written in complete sentences.

How would you combine images that do not go together at all? How can you make one flow to the other seamlessly? Think back to the Photo Editing in order to help you. Be creative!

• Your canvas need to be 11 x 17 in landscape mode, 300 ppi, and RGB color mode.  (5 pts)

• Design needs to look seamless.

• Use a minimum of 15 pictures to do this.  (10 pts)

• The amount you use of each photo is up to you​

• 1 Color correction to an image  (5 pts)

• 1 feathering and blending technique  (5 pts)

• 2 drop shadows  (5 pts)

• 2 layer styles  (5 pts)

• 5 adjustment layers   (5 pts)

• 1 use of liquefy filter  (5pts)

• 1 gradient Map  (5 pts)

• Background removed from at least 5 images (5 pts)

• Element removed from at least 2 images  (5 pts)

• Watermark added to the bottom right hand corner with your first and last name, copyright symbol, and the year  (5 pts)

• Collage must have a clear theme  (5 pts)

• Collage must include at least 2 shapes (but not look like images) (5 pts)

• Checklist (50 pts)

​After  you have finished, save it as a .psd and name it last name + first name + photomerge.psd. Make sure you also save it as a .JPEG. You will need to turn in both files and the checklist to Google Classroom.   (15 pts)
