Once a student has been identified as exceptional at an IPRC (Individual Placement and Review Committee), an IEP (Individual Education Plan) is written and shared with the student, their parents, and teachers. In order to help students meet the expectations of the Ontario secondary school curriculum, the Peel District School Board offers two levels of special education support. https://www.peelschools.org/elementary/special-education/iprc/Pages/default.aspx
The effective use of assistive technology is essential to a student's ability to access the curriculum. The goal of this website is to provide parents and guardians with helpful information about the commonly used assistive technology tools provided by the Peel District School Board. https://pdsbat.net/

Parent/Guardian Input for IEPs
Parents and guardians are valuable members of the IEP team. You know your child best and your input is valuable when an IEP is developed and updated.
Parent/Guardian input forms are sent home at the beginning of each semester for students with IEPs. If you did not receive it or have new information to share, please reach out to your child's monitor teacher.
