PCHS SUMMER SCHOOL 2025
The PCHS Summer School Program is designed for students who need to make up credit or who already have a credit in a specific course, but did not achieve the requisite grade in that course in order to move forward in the English or math curriculum sequence. The High School Program is open to PCSD-registered students who are currently in grades nine through twelve. Non-registered students pay an additional fee.
Online Education
All courses offered in the PCHS Summer School Program will be through the Colorado Digital Online Solutions (CDLS) program. Students “attend” these classes from their homes or anywhere they have a computer with Internet access. All online courses are taught by Colorado-licensed teachers.
Dates: June 2, 2024 – July 25, 2024
Registration: Mon. May 5, 2024 – Fri. June 6, 2025

Cost: $300 per course
$100 additional fee for non-district students
Students may attempt no more than two credits total.
Refunds: No refunds are available for summer school.
Grades/ Awarding of Credit:
Students must achieve a 60% or better grade in courses to receive credit.
Communication:
Students needing subject-matter assistance should contact their summer school teachers directly. All technical assistance requests should be directed to Mrs. Genschorck.
Completion of Work:
All student work for each course must be completed by 11:59pm on Fri. July 25, 2025. Work completed after this date will not be used to determine the grade(s) for the course(s). This includes exams. No course deadline extensions will be granted.
Conduct Code: All students must adhere to the Platte Canyon School District Student Conduct Code. Any student found to be cheating on class assignments will be immediately withdrawn from Summer School. Disciplinary actions may be pursued at this time. No refunds will be granted if a student is withdrawn from Summer School.
Parent Expectations:
Parents of summer school students will be expected to act as learning coaches for their students In essence, a learning coach monitors home study habits and, if needed, proctors quizzes and exams.
