Welcome to ICAP
Goal: ICAP development supports academic achievement by providing long term goals for career and college admissions
ICAP development increases graduation rate by providing motivation to help students stay on track, graduate on time, and maintain strong academic standing for postsecondary readiness

Steps
Goal: ICAP is a multi-year process that intentionally guides students and families in the exploration of career, academic and postsecondary opportunities. With the support of adults, students develop the awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills to create their own meaningful and powerful pathways to Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness (PWR).
Meeting schedule:
Freshman and Sophomore class will meet with School Counseling throughout the year as needed. As well as follow up with the Junior and Senior classes for ICAP purposes as needed.

Internal Process
Goal: To have a basic understanding of the ICAPl curriculum structure and be able to navigate the basic features and begin to familiarize yourself and engage with students in order to improve student success in life.
Counseling (Cynda Hopper)
Will review PCHS course curriculum in order to align ICAP required skills learned throughout HS and collaborate with CTE Instructor and Post Graduate Advising
Ensure and appropriately document ICAP completion bench marks on forms and Infinite Campus ICAP Math/Reading and Individual Planning as well as collaborate with Advising (Aby Theobald) through the Individual Planning in Infinite Campus
Collaborate with CTE Instructor in providing state aligned equitable opportunities for students to explore, develop, and demonstrate the mindsets, knowledge, skills and abilities - Essential Skills - necessary for career success and learn about and prepare for in-demand and meaningful career pathways
Pots Graduate Advising (Abby)
Will research and review postsecondary resources available to accommodate student interest and need.
Collaborate with Counseling to ensure all ICAP benchmarks are complete/documented/equipped with post-secondary plan
Plan Post-secondary exploration events for students and collaborate with counseling (Cynda Hopper)
Concurrent Program (Red Rocks) Internal Process
Goal: The Concurrent Enrollment program is to provide high school students, PCHS, and RRCC academic departments with the support and resources necessary for high school students to achieve post-secondary learning opportunities. We strive to empower students towards successful completion of college-level coursework, leading to seamless career and academic guided pathways.

Administer Accuplacer and consult with College Board

Goal: “Colorado high school graduates demonstrate the knowledge and skills (competencies) needed to succeed in postsecondary settings and to advance in career pathways as lifelong learners and contributing citizens."
Counseling (Cynda Hopper)/Post Graduate Advisor (Abby Theobald)
Discuss interests/possibilities/options during course request meetings
Collaborate with CTE instructor throughout PWR process
Enroll students in beginning exploration/ interest level CTE Classes
CTE instructor will utilize YouScience assessments and curriculum to help students discover their interests and share results with Counseling.
Counseling and Advising will collaborate to meet and support Student’s interest in WBL and postsecondary planning
Keep required WBL documents with ICAP documents in IC
Collaborate and follow State required WBL program Guidelines
