Last Week of School

May 18th-May 22nd

Complete all missing assignments

  • Once those assignments are completed, extra credit opportunities will be given out.

Many students have numerous missing assignments in Science. If they would like credit for those assignments, they need to be completed and submitted by Friday, May 22nd. I have Zoom Meetings on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30pm-1:00pm for students who would like help. Once they are caught up, there will be extra credit opportunities. These opportunities will be given out when all required assignments are submitted. We have one more week remaining, so finish strong! I hope to see many of you in my Zoom Meetings this week.

World of the Dinosaurs Presentation Project

The Mesozoic Era was the time of the Dinosaurs. They appear in the fossil record at the start of the Jurassic period and are wiped out by a meteor at the end of the Cretaceous.

  • Your assignment is to resea​rch one of the three periods of the Mesozoic, the Jurassic, Triassic, or Cretaceous. You will find out and share with the class what life on Earth was like during the Mesozoic Era.

            • Your presentation should include images and text explaining the concepts and important facts of the time period.

All assignments can be found on Google Classroom. Below are the Google Classroom Codes for 7th grade Science. There are teacher notes that have been posted on Google Classroom that the students need to refer to. These teacher notes will better support them when they go to complete their assignments. Each week, there will be teacher notes uploaded to ensure that the students are getting the correct information. I have also broken each day down, so that it allows the students to see what they should accomplish each day to ensure that they will have everything done by the end of the week. This schedule is a recommendation for students to follow. All of the due dates will also be posted on Google Classroom, FMS Remote Learning HQ, and the Week at a Glance each week.
