Video Production
7th and 8th Grade / Semester
Join us in Video Production and learn the basics of how to plan, film, and edit your own movies! Students will understand the three stages of filmmaking, pre-production, production, and post production. Students will learn how to use video equipment, as well as a variety of techniques used in producing digital films. Working alone and in small teams, students share ideas through storyboards, then use cameras and tripods to set up and film a variety of camera shots. Projects vary each semester, but may include silent films, different film genres, and documentaries.
Students use phones as well as camcorders to film!
The 2020 first semester video production students and Mrs. Lee were able to do the "Pen Toss"! A lot of coordination and a lot of happy vibes once the students accomplished it together. "Make it a great day, or not, the choice is yours!" It's the JLS way.
Equipment training tutorial video made by our very own 3rd Period Video Production TA, Victor!
