The Spanish Department at Pathfinder now offers levels 1 and 2. The purpose of these courses is to expose students to the Spanish language and culture both locally as well as globally.
In order to better attain these goals, students will study useful, conversational vocabulary, as well as participate in cultural activities pertaining to the groups of Spanish-speaking people we will be studying during the course.
Topics will range from the study of South America, Central America and Mexico to recent immigrant groups now living in the U.S. from the Caribbean such as the Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans.
Spanish 1
Spanish 1 is an elective class open to all students. In the beginning level of Spanish, students are introduced to the language, culture, and an array of useful vocabulary to promote basic communication.
