A message for Pathfinder Seniors and their families:
Given the announcement yesterday about schools needing to remain closed through the end of the school year, I know that many of you have lots of questions and are eager to hear about the status of spring events--and, of course, graduation. We are as heartbroken as you are that school cannot resume and that all of the awesome spring activities and events cannot occur as planned.
Now that we have official word that schools will not reopen, we can begin to move forward in making decisions and arrangements regarding these events. At this time we do NOT have any specific information to share. We want to give very careful consideration to all options before any final decisions are made. We know how important this is to students and families and we want to ensure that we are taking into account all factors to make the best decisions possible. Mr. Duda will be in touch to share information and details with you as soon as possible. Hopefully, we will have some concrete answers within a week or shortly after.
Students, we are asking you to sit tight, but please know that we understand that this is a difficult time and that this disruption to your senior year is a lot to process. Please feel free to reach out to any of the Pathfinder counseling staff--Mrs. Dupre, Mrs. Horton, Mr. Leroux, Mrs. Connelly, Mr. Orszulak or me--if you would like to talk with someone about your thoughts or feelings.
We look forward to celebrating you in some way, shape or form in the months to come. In the meantime, please stay healthy and safe!
Mrs. Turner
Director of Guidance

Applications for admission to Pathfinder for the 2020-2021 school year will be under review soon! We are gathering final documents and conducting phone interviews for students who do not yet have complete applications. We appreciate your patience and understanding as things are more challenging and taking longer than usual due to the closure of schools in our state. We are aiming to have letters about admissions decisions sent via email to applicants (who reside in our member towns) within the next couple of weeks. Out of district applications will be reviewed in the weeks to follow. Again, thanks for your patience. Stay safe!

Congratulations to Pathfinder senior Jacqueline Garvin for being recognized by the Zonta Club of Quaboag Valley with a Girl's Rocket Award at a ceremony held at Ludlow Country Club on January 13th. Sharing in this celebration with Jackie was her parents, School Counselor Erica Dupre, School Adjustment Counselor Kate Connelly and Director of Guidance Brenda Turner. Guest speaker was Grace Gerhardt, a WPI Aerospace Engineering graduate, who is now employed by Pratt & Whitney. Jackie, a senior enrolled in Business Technology at Pathfinder, plans to attend Western New England University next fall to pursue International Business and Engineering. Congratulations Jackie!
