Every day, we take people's reputations into our hands when we deal with sensitive material and allegations of wrongdoing. Every story we report in which someone is accused of a misdeed could potentially result in legal action. Consequently, every Patch editorial staffer should have a working knowledge and fundamental understanding of libel law.
