Diploma Seals

To earn the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal, motivated high school students must demonstrate certain professional skills required for success in the workplace. 


For students interested in a career pathway that includes serving in a branch of the armed forces, the Military Enlistment Seal is an option to satisfy components of Ohio’s graduation requirements. To earn Ohio’s Military Enlistment Seal, students must complete one of the following:

An industry-recognized credential is a qualification of a specific set of competencies related to an industry or occupation. These credentials can take many different forms, including certificates, certifications and licenses.To earn Ohio’s Industry-Recognized Credential Seal, students must do one of the following:


To earn Ohio’s Citizenship Seal, students must satisfy one of the following in BOTH American History and Government: (Students can mix and match options from the American History and American Government categories to earn this seal)

Ohio’s Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language. 


The World Language Department teachers will explain the below requirements to all Juniors and Seniors enrolled in Spanish, French, or ASL courses. Kristine Dobransky will explain the above requirements to all Junior and Senior heritage speakers who are on track to pass the OELPA with a proficient or higher score.   


Students will earn Ohio’s Seal of Biliteracy by satisfying each of the following:

Registration to take the below assessments is January 12th, 2024.

To earn the college and career readiness seal, students must earn remediation-free scores on the ACT or SAT, as outlined below.

English Language Arts English subscore 18 or higher Reading/Writing 480 or higher

   Reading subscore 22 or higher

Mathematics Mathematics subscore 22 or higher Mathematics 530 or higher


      To receive the Honors Seal, students must earn one of six honors diplomas outlined below:

11. Information Technologies Grade "B" or Higher

12. Visual Programming Grade "B" or Higher

13. Web Design Grade "B" or Higher

14. Multi-Media Grade "B" or Higher

15. Woods I or II Grade "B" or higher

Local Seals

Students graduating in the class of 2023 and beyond, must earn 3 high school credits in the Fine Arts discipline during grades 9 - 12.  


Students graduating in the class of 2023 and beyond, must participate in at least 4 extra curricular PCSD activities (approved by Counselor) during their high school career and  meet the following criteria in a non-academic course:


Students complete 40 hours of community service work. *(Unpaid work or service that is designed to help an individual, group or community.)
