Q. Will I be assigned a Parkway email?
A. YES
When you are entered into our system, an auto-email will be sent to to you.
Please check your university email or personal email (whichever was provided in your application materials). This is where this initial email will be sent.
Sometimes this email can go into your SPAM folder.
Follow the log in credentials provided in this initial email to activate your assigned Parkway email (Parkway uses Google Gmail as our provider).
In the section which says to says to contact your supervisor for a temporary password - this does not apply to student teachers/counseling interns.
Please note, activating your email DOES NOT CONNECT YOU TO PARKWAY'S NETWORK.
See the Connecting to Parkway network tab for those instructions.
PLEASE NOTE:
Each "position" in Parkway which is not a paid employee of the district is entered in our system. For example, a student teacher will have an email assigned and another email is assigned if employed and working as a Kelly sub. For those who are not paid by the district, their email is tied to the job, not the person.
You will receive an email shortly before the conclusion of your placement indicating your Parkway student teacher email will be deactivated. If you have google documents or email correspondence you wish to save, you will need to complete this retrieval before the deactivation date.
If after you have completed your placement hours and are perhaps hired as a long term or short term substitute teacher by Kelly Educational Staffing (KES), you will need to activate your email assigned/tied to your sub record in our system. Contact the help desk to activate that email.
