In first grade students will grow as artists and creative thinkers!
They will build upon skills learned in kindergarten and understand that art can convey a mood or feeling. They will also be able to distinguish between different themed artworks such as abstract vs. realistic or a landscape vs. a still life. They will gain more control with art materials and learn more about the art elements and principals:
Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Form, Space, and Pattern.
