Meet Dr JD Polk, NASA's chief health and medical officer. He is the doctor who keeps astronauts alive in space, from the moment they launch to the moment they land. He has flown on air ambulance rescues, run emergency services for a whole American state, and led space medicine at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. Now he decides how humans will survive the trip to the Moon and Mars.
