Job Description:
Pennsylvania PTA regions are served by region directors who maximize the service to the region by developing a service delivery team that helps local PTAs and councils in their specific region.
Pennsylvania PTA is currently divided into five (5) regions to achieve a closer working relationship with local PTAs and councils. The President identifies the appropriate region for all elected/appointed region directors with the approval of the Pennsylvania PTA executive committee.
Responsibilities:
Serve on the PAPTA Board of Directors and attend all meetings (4-12 meetings/year);
Carries out duties as outlined in the PAPTA Bylaws and Standing Rules;
Supports and serves as a resource for county councils and local units without councils within their region;
Pursues new charters for emerging PTAs within their region with the support of the PAPTA President and President-Elect;
Assist with keeping the PAPTA website updated and relevant;
Serves on the Leadership Committee and the Region Directors Council;
Attends statewide PTA Leadership Trainings;
Stay up to date on National PTA news and information; and
Prepare and submit articles for electronic newsletters and articles for the PAPTA website e-blasts, and content for use on Facebook and other social media outlets.
