Pennsylvania PTA is seeking candidates for election in spring 2026 for a term from the close of PAPTA Convention 2026 to the close of PAPTA Convention 2028.

Application Packages must be submitted electronically via the Application Package Google Form for consideration by the PAPTA Nominations Committee.

The following positions are available for the term beginning in the Spring of 2026 and concluding in the Spring of 2028!
The President Elect will rise as the PAPTA President at the conclusion of the 2028 PAPTA Convention until the conclusion of the 2030 PAPTA Convention!!
There are five positions available.
All members of the Pennsylvania PTA Board of Directors should have the following core characteristics, crucial for effective leadership and fulfilling the mission of the PTA:

Strong organizational skills;

February 1, 2026: Applications (Letter of Intent Form) for officer and region director positions are due to the Nominating Committee.
November - February 2026: The Nominating Committee will review all submitted applications.
January - February 2026: The Nominating Committee will conduct interviews with all candidates.
At Least Sixty (60) days before the first day of the Annual Meeting/Convention: The Report of the Nominating Committee, including the proposed slate of candidates, shall be distributed to the membership.
No Later than Thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the Annual Meeting/Convention: Every candidate intending to run from the floor shall complete and submit the published “Pennsylvania PTA Board of Directors Consent to Serve Form.” The names of the nominees from the floor will be added to the official notice for the Annual Meeting.
Prior to the Annual Meeting/Convention: Official notice of the Annual Meeting (including the election agenda) will be distributed to all PAPTA members, in accordance with the bylaws.
April 19, 2026 (Annual Meeting/Convention): The Nominating Committee will officially present its slate of candidates to the PAPTA general membership during the Annual Meeting. The election for the new officers and region directors will also take place during this Annual Meeting/Convention.
Immediately following the Annual Meeting: Newly elected officers and region directors officially begin their terms.
