Year 10 Science
Year 10 Science extends students understanding of the Nature of Science which is the overarching unifying strand of the Science Curriculum. Students will continue to develop their skills, attitudes, and values to build a foundation for understanding the world. They will explore how scientists carry out investigations, and they will come to see science as a socially valuable knowledge system. They will learn how science ideas are communicated and to make links between scientific knowledge and everyday decisions and actions.
There are four contextual strands which the students will explore -
The Living World - Biology
The Material World - Chemistry
The Physical World - Physics
Planet Earth and Beyond
Nature of Science/Tools of the Trade
