Admission & Enrollment Criteria
Being enrolled at CPFA requires a commitment to an arts-intensive education. Students are admitted based on their interest, availability, and readiness to meet the program's expectations.
CPFA is open to students in grades 6–12 who are enrolled in the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (PALCS).
Prior arts experience is not required for admission. Please note, enrollment in specific courses is not guaranteed. Courses are scheduled based on availability and teacher approval/recommendation. Some courses may have pre-requisites.
Students must demonstrate responsibility, consistent attendance, and readiness to collaborate in a focused learning environment.
Students are expected to explore a variety of disciplines across the arts.
High school students may begin to concentrate on one or two disciplines in their junior and senior years.
All courses run on a full-year basis; students are expected to remain enrolled for the entire academic year.
After enrollment, students must maintain a C-average or better in all academic courses in order to remain in the CPFA program to ensure their academic and artistic success.
