Admission & Enrollment Criteria

Being enrolled at CPFA requires a commitment to an arts-intensive education. Students are admitted based on their interest, availability, and readiness to meet the program's expectations. 

• CPFA is open to students in grades 6–12 who are enrolled in the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (PALCS).

• Prior arts experience is not required for admission. Please note, enrollment in specific courses is not guaranteed. Courses are scheduled based on availability and teacher approval/recommendation. Some courses may have pre-requisites.

• Students must demonstrate responsibility, consistent attendance, and readiness to collaborate in a focused learning environment.

• Students are expected to explore a variety of disciplines across the arts. 

• High school students may begin to concentrate on one or two disciplines in their junior and senior years.

• All courses run on a full-year basis; students are expected to remain enrolled for the entire academic year.

• After enrollment, students must maintain a C-average or better in all academic courses in order to remain in the CPFA program to ensure their academic and artistic success.
