Week beginning - Monday 8th September 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!Â
Our inquiry into the Stone Age continues, with more adventures for The Stone Age Boy (our core text). We thought about how he would have been feeling as he woke up in the Stone Age and explored life then and wrote questions we might have asked him about the experience. While learning about settlements, we identified whether geographical features were PHYSICAL or HUMAN. Our RE lessons are exploring what people from different religions believe about God, this week our focus was on Christianity. In our maths, we are continuing to learn about place value - we can represent numbers using base ten and place value charts and are growing in confidence when partitioning numbers into hundreds, tens and ones using part-whole models.

Blossom has demonstrated beautiful presentation skills in her work and a fantastic attitude in her learning this week. Blossom is a resilient and principled learner in all her lessons, a wonderful example to others - and has better handwriting than I do! Great work Blossom!

Josie has started Year 3 the way she ended Year 2, setting a wonderful example on how to present work and behave in a classroom. On a daily basis Josie shows several of our learner profiles and is now setting the standard for the new STRIVE policy. Keep it up!
