Week beginning - Monday 8th September 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week, our wonderful Year One learners have been introduced to the inspiring figure of Florence Nightingale, linking her legacy of care and responsibility to our Module One central idea: understanding how we take responsibility for looking after ourselves. In mathematics, we have been confidently using tens frames to demonstrate our counting skills, building strong number sense and accuracy. During our Skills sessions, we have focused on capital letters, especially recognising when to use a capital 'I' in sentences, showing how knowledgeable and careful we are as writers. In science, the children have been actively identifying and labelling the different parts of the body, even using their own bodies as a reference, making for an exciting and memorable learning experience. In PE, we are starting invasion games, rain or shine nothing stopped us from developing our skills.
