Course Introduction:

In this course, students will explore a variety of mathematical concepts to build a strong foundation for future learning. Topics will include operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as an introduction to algebraic thinking. Students will also delve into geometry, measurement, and data analysis. Through real-world applications and problem-solving activities, students will develop critical thinking skills and mathematical fluency. This course aims to foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and promote a positive attitude towards learning math.

4. Unit 4: Dividing Fractions

5. Unit 5: Arithmetic in Base Ten

6. Unit 6: Expressions and Equations

7. Unit 7: Rational Numbers

8. Unit 8: Data Sets and Distributions

9. Unit 9: Putting it all together

Materials:

• 2 Math Folders (Any Color) -  Labeled with Class Section & Name

• Pencils or Erasable Pens 

• Graph Paper

• TI-108 Calculator (By January)

Helpful Tips

Homework Policy 

All homework will be posted on google classroom. Students have to submit all homework assignments by the due dates. Points will be taken off for late submissions. Students are responsible to communicate with us if an extension is needed. 

Attendance Policy

BE ON TIME and BE READY! If the student is absent for the day, they are responsible to communicate with us for any missing work.

Classroom Rules: 

All students are expected to be present, engaged, and respectful each day.

Academic Integrity: 

Any instance of cheating will result in a grade of zero. Students will not be able to make up the assignment.
