Design a robot that could help humans in the future. Think about what problem the robot could solve, how the robot will work and what it can do.
Resources: Carboard boxes and various recycled materials.

On your own or with friends design a robot dance routine. Perform this to the class.
Create a futuristic robot out of building blocks.
Design and draw a futuristic robot. Add colour and labels to explain what makes the robot special. Also add any unique features the car has.
Ask older children to work with younger children to make a robot arm grabber. Decorate it to look more robotic.

Draw a faint line down the middle of a an A4 piece of paper.
Draw one half of the robot on eith the left or right of the line.
Draw the missing half.
Colour the robot in.
Use felt tips or pencils to colour in the robot image.
Watch the short animation about the girl and robot. Ask the children to focus on the girl's different emotions throughout the film (1. When the robot was built. 2. When the robot wouldn't work. 3. When the factory started to explode. 4. When the robot saved the girl's life).
Watch a second time if needed.
Complete the sheet below adding the thoughts of the girl (see WAGOLL on the left).
