Easter Story

Read the story, ‘We’re going on an egg hunt’. Make an easter basket.
Resources: Video of the story, ‘We’re going on an egg hunt’, Egg basket template (print page 3), felt tips, scissors, sellotape, (to make papier mache eggs - newspaper, PVA & water)
You could look up how to draw comic-style images or use your knowledge from your art lessons this year.
Alternatively, you could use the Strip Design app to create a comic strip using images online.
Discuss why we send cards at Easter. Discuss other times we send cards. Model how to make an Easter card. Encourage children to make their own card.
Resources: Examples of Easter cards, coloured A4 card, range of coloured paper, ribbon, sequins, felt, crayons, glue, scissors
Create a poster to teach others about religious festivals around the world.
Create a resource, presentation, poster or performance to share this knowledge.
Use the resources to create a collage picture.
Resources: A4 paper, selection of tissue paper, coloured paper etc.
Think about nature, wildlife, events, colours, symbols etc.
Write a poem about Spring.

Making a 6-page booklet
Create a booklet of the birds in your area. If you can’t find any birds, research some online! Add photographs, drawings & sketches to bring your booklet to life.

Hunt for the eggs! If completing activity with older children, use the map they have made to help you find them.
