After watching the word meaning lesson, have a go at the quiz below using the text to help you. Remember to think about:

• The word class - is it a noun, verb, adjective, adverb?

• The context - read the full sentence and around it to clarify the word

• The root word - does it look familiar? What other words do you know that are similar?

• Replacing the word with a synonym - does it make sense in the sentence?
