The Bret Harte library has books in a variety of languages including Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese.
In addition to fiction and non-fiction books, the Bret Harte Library also has manga, graphic novels and audiobook playaways!

The library is open daily during:
Breakfast Break
All Lunch Periods
Afterschool until 4pm (except minimum days.)
Regular class visits will be arranged with each grade level's English teacher, and students can expect to visit biweekly.

Checking out and returning books is easy!
Check out and return books at the circulation desk. Books can also be returned through the book drop in the hallway.
Our library does not charge late fees for overdue books!
Check outs are for two weeks at a time
Books can be Renewed. If you need more time, just ask!
If a book is LOST, talk to Ms. Solia, and you can
Pay to replace it
Replace it with a new or gently used copy of the same book. (no visible damage, tears, etc.)
Schedule 60 minutes of service to the library
Libraries are for EVERYONE! If a book is lost or damaged and one of the above options doesn't work for you, we will work together to fix the situation.

Our library has no book budget and relies on donations and programs like DonorsChoose to fulfill student requests and keep our collection current and relevant to their interests.
