The Bret Harte Library is sorted into two major categories: Fiction and Nonfiction.
Learn more about how to browse these sections by clicking the headers below.
We also have Graphic Novels, Manga, books in World Languages, and limited selection of Audiobook Playaways and Large Print Books (more of these items available on Sora).
Board Games are available to play in the library during lunch and after school.
Our collection of fiction is now sorted into three different categories.
Within each section, books are sorted alphabetically by the author's last name.
Realistic Fiction: Stories that feel like they could actually happen, in a believable setting.
Fantasy & Sci-Fi: Fantasy stories have magical elements or are set in a magical world.
Sci-Fi stories are stories impacted by science and technology.
Thrills & Chills: Fast-Paced stories that are suspenseful, with dark elements, and stories that involve paranormal or supernatural elements.
