The Learning Through Play website has been updated and is ready to view. This is an excellent tool for staff to become familiar with the importance of play as a support for children’s learning.

- Deliver the local professional learning programme for collaborative action research (CAR) with Glasgow University, ensuring our staff are familiar with the methodology appropriate to conducting research projects and evaluating the impact of initiatives.

- Produce Professional learning programme for ‘Inspire and Challenge’ with Glasgow Science Centre
- Implement in STEM Hub schools in phase one with extension to all schools in phase two

- Establish programme of meetings to consult with existing partners ( Glasgow Science, Glasgow University, Education Scotland, Scottish Government, SCEL) on how best to implement a joined up approach to staff development, ensuring our staff are well prepared and supported to deliver high quality learning experiences for our children.

The Raising Attainment in Numeracy Team has had the pleasure of working with St Eunan’s Early Learning & Childcare Centre. We have been sharing professional dialogue and experiencing how the SEAL approach is being implemented to our young learners in WDC. It is really exciting to see practitioners gaining confidence using the SEAL approach and the enthusiasm of teaching number and number processes.

- Plan and deliver a training programme for: Problem Based Approaches (CGI); Number Sense, Reciprocal Maths; Maths Resilience.
- Review and refresh local learning and teaching policy.
- Produce and implement an Early Level Literacy Skills Programme.
