Welcome to the West Dunbartonshire Council Pupil Equity Fund Planning site!
The purpose of this site is to provide a central location to all the information you need to help you plan, manage and deliver your Pupil Equity Fund projects.
There are three distinct phases to planning your pupil Equity Fund projects:
These are both sequential and cyclical - through your cycle of self-evaluation you will identify aspects for improvement, that are reported in your Standards and Quality Report. Through your decision making process, you identify items that will form part of your Improvement Plan for the following session. Some of these items on your Improvement Plan will require Pupil Equity Funding to deliver them. For these items, you'll draw up a Project Plan. Once underway, you'll commit to a reporting schedule to show the progress of your project. This will then culminate in your annual Standards and Quality report, where you'll be able to report on the overall success of your project.
The Scottish Government have advised that your Improvement Plan and your Standards and Quality Report will be published online. Our approach to documenting our work this session will make this process very straightforward.
To assist you in this entire process, this site is divided into 4 key areas:
1. Planning Your Projects
2. Reporting on your Projects
3. Governance
4. Useful Resources
These are explained below:
Through your cycle of self-evaluation you will identify aspects for improvement. Where these relate to closing the attainment gap, you may consider establishing a project to deliver an identified outcome. A key part of the process will be determining the outcome you wish to see your project delivering, and defining the evidence that will prove the success of your project. To run your project, you may be looking to spend some of your Pupil Equity Funding.
The 'Planning your Projects' section of this site will assist you in this process. It will help you produce two key documents (Improvement Plan and Project Plan), and consider other important factors:
Once you have created your Improvement Plan and your Project Plan, you'll move on to the second phase 'Reporting Your Projects'.
Once your project is underway, you move into the delivery and reporting stage of your project.
Along the way in this stage, you'll need to provide regular status updates, a mid-point 'highlight' report, and a 'Standards and Quality' report at the end of your project.
To assist in this process, you'll need to use the 'highlight' report document, and the 'Standards and Quality' report document. Further information can be found in the Reporting section of this site.
To assist you in running your project, we'll operate 3 levels of governance - peer review, a Strategic PEF Project Board, and a Project Support Group. Further information on these groups can be found in the Governance section of this site.
Are you just looking for the resources to assist you in the management of your project? The resources section contains only links and documents, all in the one place.
