Ngā Mātāpono Whānui: The Overarching Principles
Central to Te Marautanga o Aotearoa is the Treaty of Waitangi. Arising from the Treaty, the following overarching principles guide our School Curriculum/Marautanga and the teaching and learning in the Māori-medium Strand:
The learner is the centre of teaching and learning
The learner has a high level of personal awareness
The learner achieves their potential
School, whānau, community, hapū and iwi work together
A healthy environment is a healthy people
