Google Drive Management
Summary
Use these slides to understand how the Google Shared Drives have been organised. Knowing this information inside and out will greatly increase the ease and efficiency of your file management. If you can't ever find something on this website, you will need to look in the shared drives.
Most important features:
All planning needs to be CREATED in your shared drive folders. Not just uploaded. This makes collaboration and transparency much easier to manage as a school. It also means everything you need to manage your week is in one place. You can upload pdf, images and other resources to your planning folders as additional resources, but the planning itself should already be there.
Do NOT make copies of shared files such as Long Term Plans, Maths Units, Shared Resources. We want to ensure everyone is accessing the most up-to-date version of those resources, which means using the same file across the school. The best you can do is either bookmark (instructions) the files you want quick access to, or add hyperlinks (instructions) in your planning sheets.
Do NOT delete anything you do not own.
