Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns along the way. I am always here to help!
"But how do I say her name?" It looks harder than it is... and you're not the first person to wonder that! My name is pronounced "Shul-Kraut." You are welcome to call me Dr. S. or Professor S. for short (it's a lot easier!). Dr. is used to refer to faculty members who have a PhD.
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Email is the best way to contact me. You can reach me directly at Jaclyn.Schildkraut@oswego.edu. You can also use the email feature right in Brightspace!
I am here to answer any questions you have about the course. Please do not hesitate to reach out as things pop up - I am here to help in any way I can.
When sending emails, please follow these guidelines to ensure a timely response:
Use your course name in subject line of the email
Include a greeting in addition to the body (message)
Remember to sign your full name
Use your Oswego email address
I will respond to all email within 24 hours of receipt, though I usually reply much faster. I also will log on to the course site at least twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening (excluding weekends). If I will be away for an extended period of time for any reason, I will make an announcement.
Office Location: 448 Mahar Hall
Phone: (315) 312-3445
Due to COVID-19, I will not be holding traditional in-person office hours for everyone's protection. Weekly student hours will be available via Zoom every Tuesday (4-5 pm EST) and Thursday (5-6 pm EST). The link will be available in Brightspace to join.
I am also happy to schedule a one-on-one meeting with you via Zoom, Skype, or a phone call. Please email me to schedule a remote meeting.
You can also follow me on Twitter (@jschildkraut80) or visit my faculty page or personal website for more information.
You are, of course, welcome to contact me with anything related to the course itself. There may be times that you need assistance with something beyond our course, including troubleshooting Brightspace. Campus Technology Services can often help you with these issues. They offer a self-service portal, or you can also contact them by email or social media (Facebook or Twitter).
Additional resources are available under the Campus Policies & Resources menu item.
