Purpose: In-class activities are a great way to approach the material we will be covering from a different angle. It also will allow you to apply the material in a way that transcends our classroom and has real-world implications.
Task: For each activity, the task itself will vary based on the material we are covering. Some will provide you with opportunities to work in groups, while others will take an individualistic approach. Specific instructions will accompany each activity so you know exactly what you need to do. There will be six in-class activities over the course of the semester, and your lowest score will be dropped.
Criteria for Success: Since there is variability in the assignments based on the material we are learning, there will also be specific guidelines that need to be met to successfully complete the activity. Generally speaking, as long as you follow the directions and complete the assignment, you will earn full credit. If something is not clear at any point, please be sure to ask - I am here to help you be as successful as possible!
In-class activities will be due at the end of the class period on the day they will be conducted (see Course Schedule).
