Late Work Policy

Time management is a critical skill to your success not only in this course but also in your future as a professional. That being said, there are situations that arise that are beyond our control - life happens (especially in the middle of a pandemic)! Whether it is a pileup of coursework, an unexpected emergency, or you just need a little time, the Life Happens Pass will give you an extra 24 hours to submit an assignment - no questions asked.

To redeem a pass, visit the Redemption Page (clicking on this link will open it in a new window). Just complete the form letting me know your name, which class you are in, and which assignment you would like to take the extension on. You do not have to explain why you are taking the extension and do not have to email me ahead of time - completing the form is sufficient. The only requirement is that your pass must be submitted before the due date (even if just minutes). Life Happens Passes cannot be used retroactively for missed deadlines.

Each student starts the semester with 3 Life Happens Passes. If you need them, take them! That is what they are there for. If you don't need to use them, that is okay too. Just know that you have the breathing room available if you need it!

Passes can be used for any assignments in the course, excluding your paper draft(s).
One ticket = one assignment (not one week's worth of assignments).
