The Ocean Springs High School Yearbook Staff has multiple social media accounts for parents, students, teachers, and staff to be kept in the know and updated about the yearbook . They include a TikTok account, an Instagram account, and a Facebook account. I help manage the Instagram and TikTok account while our yearbook advisor manages the Facebook.

The OSHS Yearbook staff manages the Ocean Springs High School Facebook account by posting important going-ons about our high school and announcements that have to do with the yearbook! We use Facebook along with Instagram and TikTok to reach a wider range of viewers considering lots of parents have Facebook compared to TikTok and Instagram. We also use this as an outlet to post our "Friday Favorites" which is a weekly competition where we pick the photo of the week to keep our staff members in practice!

Since Instagram is a popular social platform for high school students, I utilize Instagram as an outlet by posting as much content as we do on the OSHS Facebook account. However, our Instagram account gets more attention from our targeted audience which allows for not only parents, but students to also be involved in everything happening at the high school!

As an estimate, almost every single student at Ocean Springs High School has TikTok. I help manage the OSHS Yearbook account by posting videos and reels that spread information to an even wider audience! All of the reels that are posted on the OSHS Yearbook Instagram get posted on the OSHS Yearbook TikTok and I have used this platform to post videos that range from encouraging students to vote for senior superlatives to reminding students to purchase their senior ads!
