At Ocean Springs High School, sports journalism can mean a variety of things. For the yearbook staff, it includes photography, writing interviews, and the occational video or instagram post to encourage support for our sports teams! Below are examples of posts and videos I have made including photography from myself and the OSHS Yearbook Staff.
These are 3 Instagram posts I have made using photos from yearbook staff members along with my own to give shout-outs to teams at Ocean Springs High School. The post on the right is a special post that wished good luck to the Lady Greyhounds Volleyball Team as they went to the volleyball state championship.
This is a cute little video I made after the first football game of the season! I created this video in the beginning of the year and after seeing my other videos, you can see just how much I've grown as a journalist.
This is a video I've made recently after a tough game against a rival school in D'Iberville. This is the most recent video I've made since I don't make videos that often, but I do enjoy creating videos on sports every once-in-a-while!
Along with being a member of yearbook staff, I am also the class historian for my graduating class! That means that I run the Class Instagram and I make posts for every sports season. Below are Instagram posts that I have made and posted on the OSHS Class of 2028 Instagram.
These are my yearbook pages that involve sporting events! We include the halftime show as a sporting event since there is so much physical activity that happens while our award winning band performs on the football field at Hugh Pepper Stadium.
