Glider

Glider

Distance- 14.8 ft

Weight - 16.1 Grams

Notes- Structure of the build was not as sturdy as I would have liked and required quite a few repairs, also had to take off the bottom part of the main wing because of it hitting the launcher.

I chose these slanted fins because I thought it would make it cut through the air more efficiently.

I choose long slanted main wings because other planes/ gliders I've seen used similar designs.

I chose the design for the base structure because the front was used as a launcher, I cut off some of the back as to take off some weight so I could add the weight of the fins.

I chose to add two small wings in the back to balance the glider as well as distribute the weight.

The way I put this together is that I put all the parts where I thought they should be and I started shoving toothpicks into the base structure until everything felt good. Used rubber bands and toothpicks for certain repairs as you see in the front of the picture.
